Well guess I didn't exactly break the once a year rule I specified below as when I stumbled upon this earlier today I completely forgot I wrote it. Though I do have to say the site has proven somewhat useful since! A host to now 3 chicken nugget day parties, collectively raising over $6,000 for charity while growing significantly each year. Plus a fun place to point people to whenever they ask: "what are your rules about eating meat again?"

I write this as I launch the questions page as a way to utilize the site for another purpose, a landing page for a truly non-sense idea of handing business cards out, that I actually first did in 2023. So, maybe, the use of the site since then inspired me to make that gimmick a little bit more worthwhile and for that I can definitely be thankful. And aren't questions the core of so much of why I'd write nonsense like this on a website in the first place?

I will take one more moment to reflect about the fact that it's been 10 years since the #monthoftanks, my first real attempt to post something significant for a set period of time. That inspired me to start a short lived blog right after college, but it didn't make it more than a few months. A lot has changed since then and maybe having this site is one of the positive ones as it's made it 4 years of paying the hosting fee so far...

It's maybe more than a little obvious that this site has come about to support an attempt to further institutionalize the National Chicken Nugget Day Party, so why isn't it called nationalchickennuggetdayparty.com? or ncnd.party? Partially because both of those would be pretty bad for SEO (and the domains weren't available), but also because I wanted it to be something more. A place for half-brained ideas, with full (or fool) spirited execution where I can collate and summarize some of the things I've wanted to share and have them live on forever. I've always wanted to do something more public this way and, aside from a brief attempt at a blog shortly after college and the #monthoftanks, so I'm really hoping this will be it!

I'll try to keep pace with at least posting here at least once a year as a log of whatever is to come with this half-brained idea... Judging that it took me all the way to October 11th to write this after buying the domain on January 1st, it's the least I can do.
